Daughters of the King (DOK)
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Vision of the D.O.K. is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others, and to become reflections of God’s love throughout the world. The Mission of The Order is the extension of Christ’s Kingdom through Prayer, Service and Evangelism. The Order of the Daughters of the King is a spiritual sisterhood of women, who have made a commitment to Jesus as Savior and follow Him as Lord of their life. The St. David’s Daughters are active leaders in the Episcopal Diocese of South East Florida.
Each member of the Order undergoes a period of education and prayerful discernment before pledging herself to life-long vows of prayer, service and evangelism. She receives support in this commitment from a worldwide community of like-minded women in the Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA) and Roman Catholic Churches.
Daughters of the King has a book study first Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. in the Mark room Sept-May. There is a prayer/business meeting on the second Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Contact us for more information or for prayer requests.
Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
St. David’s women’s ministry includes the ECW chapter, which is a fun and caring group that meets at 11.15 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month for a meeting, then lunch out at a nearby restaurant, between September – May. Summer months are a luncheon on the first Saturday of each month for fellowship. They send care cards to the military, college students and those who are sick or home-bound. The ECW organize service projects and fundraisers for good causes. They also plan group outings to local events and attractions such as museums, gardens, fairs, and performances.
All women at St. David’s are automatically members of ECW, whether they are active or not, and there are no annual dues or requirements. Contact us to get involved!
Women’s Bible Study
St. David’s offers a weekly Women’s Bible Study at 11:45 a.m. in the Mark Room, which resumes September 13th after summer recess. All women are invited to attend and learn and study together in God’s word.
