Adult Bible Study
Open to all adults. Meets on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. in the Parish Hall. All are welcome.
Women’s Bible Study
Meets on Sundays 11.45 a.m. after the 10 a.m. service in the Mark Room, resuming September 13th after summer recess. Join us!
Youth Bible Study
Youth Bible Study meets every other Sunday at 9 a.m. in the classroom building. Refreshments are served, and no prior knowledge of the Bible or the Christian faith is required. Everyone ages 10-18 is invited to come and learn and enjoy the fellowship of peers.
Virtual Book Club
Open to all adults. Meets via Zoom on Wednesdays at 7 p.m., with new books and discussion schedules announced regularly. Contact Jenifer Elmore for more information.
Daughters of the King (D.O.K.)
The Mission of The Order is the extension of Christ’s Kingdom through Prayer, Service and Evangelism. The D.O.K. chapter at St. David’s is known for its leadership in the Diocese of South Florida.
Each member of the Order undergoes a period of education and prayerful discernment before pledging herself to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism. She receives support in this commitment from a worldwide community of like-minded women.
Daughters of the King has a book study first Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. in Mark a room Sept-May. There is a prayer/business meeting on the second Sunday of the. month at 9 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Contact us for more information.
Baptism & Confirmation Preparation
Adults who have never been baptized before may be baptized in our church. We offer classes for adults who are preparing for baptism or preparing to receive communion for the first time.
Adults who have been baptized but are new to the Episcopal Church may seek to learn more and to be formally confirmed by our bishop as Episcopal Church members.
Call the church office at 561-793-1976 to speak to a priest about baptism, confirmation, or enrolling in a preparation class.
Cursillo
Cursillo is a three-day learning, sharing, inspirational experience of living in a Christian community. The objective of the Cursillo movement is to make Christian community possible in neighborhoods, parishes, work situations and other places where people live the greater part of their lives. St. David’s is one of many Episcopal churches participating in the Episcopal Cursillo Movement of the Diocese of Southeast Florida. St. David’s Cafe
Join us at the St. David’s Cafe for fellowship in the Parish hall every Sunday at 11.30 a.m. service for plenty of good food and drinks, and lively conversation. Different groups within the church host this hour on a rotating monthly schedule. Bringing food to share and helping to serve or clean up are wonderful ways to get involved.
Episcopal Church Women
Our ECW chapter is a fun group that meets the first Saturday each month at 11:15 a.m. (September – May) for a meeting then lunch out at a nearby restaurant. They organize service projects and fundraisers for good causes. They also plan group outings to local events and attractions such as museums, gardens, fairs, and performances. All women of St. David’s are automatically members of ECW, whether they are active or not, and there are no annual dues or requirements.
Men’s Group
The Men’s Group traditionally holds meetings for fellowship, prayer and Bible Study. They also help with setting the scene for the Live Nativity, grilling the meat for our biannual picnics, and setting the pace at our quarterly “Lay Weeders” landscaping days.
Picnics and holiday events
Our biannual parish Picnic in the Pines; our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday 11:30 a.m., Caribbean Sunday on October 18th, Christmas Concert on December 20th 4 p.m., Dinner Dance fundraiser at the Grande Ballroom Wellington Community Center; and our oldest tradition of all—the Live Nativity scene on the corner of Forest Hill Blvd. and Wellington Trace on December 19th 6pm—all help us form new friendships and reinforce old ones.
Through these events, we share our faith with the friends and neighbors we invite and with the broader community who drive by our church as we celebrate outdoors or who view our publicity materials online.
Other events include Festive Seasonal Receptions after the Easter Vigil service and the Christmas Concert, and after the Choral Evensong services for Pentecost and All Saints’ Day.
Guild of the Christ Child
During the first weeks after a church family brings home a new baby, Guild members deliver a home-cooked meal and gift card to the home.
Guild members also hand-make a personalized felt banner for each infant or child baptized at St. David’s. The banner is prominently displayed during the baptismal service and is then presented to the family as a keepsake.
